COMBER offers optimally designed isolator systems and equipment to meet customer's requirements in highest quality with our superior glove box design and engineering capabilities. We will customize systems using our modular glove boxes or design special chambers to suit your needs.

 
 
The flexible modular standard design allows special customized system configurations. Like the pieces of a puzzle, COMBER glove box systems can be "pieced together" to form the solution for countless applications. Systems are integrated with equipment ranging from laboratory instruments and deposition systems to fully automated processing lines.

This containment chamber allows safe handling and packaging of chemotherapy powders and other hazardous materials.

A Filter/fan unit mounted on the chamber ceiling draws air through a HEPA Filter (99.99% efficient @ 0.3μm particles). Exhaust air is drawn through a second HEPA Filter and then ventilated through a 4"-diameter conduit to a remote secondary filtration unit. Filter port covers enable the operator to seal the chamber when the filtration system is turned OFF, allowing weighing or handling of fine powders in a still-air, contamination-free environment.

A right-side air lock is provided for passing material in and out of the chamber. In addition, swing-up viewing windows
allow convenient front loading of scales, sealers, and other larger processing tools.
Application Requirements

Particle Control: Open-loop filtration module with dual HEPA Filters (@ less than or equal to 4 air changes/minute) Access: Right-side pass-through air lock. Glove ports for two operators. Swing-up access window for front loading equipment.

This BOX is suitable for the manipulation of materials in controlled atmosphere of gas argon, nitrogen and other inert gases, moreover this equipment is in a position to protect the operators or the products to be manipulated. The body of the box is a monolithic piece in stainless steel AISI 304 The GLOVE BOXES guarantee total protection for the operator or for the “product” during the manipulations that are carried out inside it;
The field of application of this equipment is wide and concerns different sectors such as SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH in general, PHARMACEUTICAL RESEARCH, PHARMACEUTICAL AND RADIOPHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTION*, NUCLEAR MEDICINE, PRODUCTION OF LITHIUM BATTERIES, MONTAGE OF COMPONENTS FOR THE AEROSPACE INDUSTRY, WELDING OF TITANIUM SUPERALLOYS, TREATMENT OF RADIOACTIVE WASTE, and so on.

The features, the fittings and the materials used depend mainly on the danger level of the treated product, on the type of product protection, on the operator’s protection and on the manipulations that will be carried out inside it.
